Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has commiserated with the Sarkin Sudan, Alhaji Seidu Namaska over the death of his wife, Hajiya Lauratu Seidu Namaska, who passed on Wednesday after a brief illness.
The deceased, aged 65, is the second wife of the monarch, was buried after a Jani’za prayer conducted by the Chief Imam of the Emir’s palace, Alhaji Shehu Rimayi in Kontagora on Thursday.
The governor, who attended the prayer, expressed shock at the death of the royal father’s wife. He lamented that the late Lauratu was a mother who was never comfortable seeing people around her in pains or lack.
“Hajiya Lauratu was a mother of mothers. She was ever ready to give all she had to the people around her, whether from the palace or from outside the palace.
“A complete and dedicated wife, Hajiya Lauratu’s support to the throne and her husband are legendary and exemplary. She will be greatly missed by everybody within the Emirate for her motherly love, care and concern.
“It is my fervent prayer that Allah (SWT) grant her Aljanna Firdausi, forgive all her sins and accept all her good works,” Governor Sani Bello prayed.
The governor also commiserated with the royal father, the family and the entire Kontagora Emirate Council and prayed Allah to give them the strength and courage to bear the loss.
Late Hajiya Lauratu was survived by her husband, five children and 30 grandchildren.
