Cavani welcomes Juventus links

goal.com

The Uruguay international, who sparkled in Italy with Napoli, has described reports linking him with the Bianconeri as "nice" but is still open to staying in France.
Edinson Cavani has revealed it is “nice” to see reports claiming Juventus are keeping a close eye on his situation at Paris Saint-Germain, but insists he could still stay with the Ligue 1 champions.
The 29-year-old has played second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic since joining PSG in 2013 and therefore has been regularly linked with a move away, with Juventus believed to be leading the race for his signature.
But there is also the possibility that Ibrahimovic, whose contract with PSG expires in the summer, could pave the way for Cavani to earn more first-team football with the capital club by switching teams.
Cavani acknowledges a lot of questions need to be answered at the moment and says he will sit down with the French cub's hierarchy at the end of the season to discuss his future.
"At the end of the season, we will discuss my situation with the president. I am ready to continue with PSG,” he told Telefoot.
"I have gone through three difficult seasons at PSG, but the support of the fans is important. I am very happy with Ibrahimovic's form and that he helps the team move forward."It is a very difficult moment for me, but I believe in myself. I am looking towards the future."
Cavani established himself as one of Europe's most feared hitmen while on Napoli's books, sparkling as their main man up front by scoring 104 goals in 138 games before moving to PSG.
And the Uruguay marksman admits a return to Italy by signing for Juventus could breathe fresh life into his career and reaffirm his status as one of the best strikers in the world.
"It is nice to know that there is interest from Serie A," he added. "I enjoyed some fantastic seasons there. Could I find back my best form at Juventus? We'll see…
"A lot of things have happened this year. I am in a difficult situation because I do not understand it."
