Al-makura Commissions Orange Market In Karu

Governor Tanko Al-makura of Nasarawa State, North-Central Nigeria has commissioned the Ta’al community new orange market in Mararraba community of Karu Local Government Area of the state.
This is part of his efforts to boost commercial activities in the state and to provide conducive business environment for business men and women.
The Governor, who spoke during the commissioning of the market assured traders that market development is one of the cardinal objectives of his administration as he believes this will attract investors to the state.
Mr Al-makura commended the traders for their cooperation and gave an account of what prompted his decision to assist them acquire the new section.
He also used the opportunity to call on the people of the state to participate in the FCT council election coming up on March 9.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Director, Personnel Management of Karu Local Government Area, Mohammed Nasiru encouraged the Governor not to relent in providing social amenities across the state.
He also called on the traders to secure their business environment and keep it clean.
On his part, the Commissioner of Commerce and Industries, Haruna Iliya, appreciated the Governor and expressed confidence that the market development would help minimize idleness among residents of the state.
The Minister of State for Environment and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Events, were present at the commissioning.
Also present to witness the commissioning of the new orange market were state legislative and executive members, security personnel, traditional rulers, and leaders of various business associations Nasarawa State.
