Obiano Commissions Two Flyovers In Awka, Anambra State

Channels Tv
The Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has carried out a partial commissioning of the Arroma and Amawbia By-Pass flyover and pedestrian interchange to ensure free flow of traffic during the yuletide.
The Governor, who promised that he would remain committed to driving the process of infrastructural development that has direct impact on human lives, said that the opening of the flyover bridges would ease the usual yuletide traffic congestion in Awka, while the flyovers add to the aesthetic value of the state.
Almost immediately after the commissioning, vehicles started plying the flyover.
At the flyover at Amawbia by-pass, the Governor said that the project was 90% complete with only the second asphalting and profiling remaining to be done.
The state government had made a promise earlier in December that two of the three flyovers would be open during the Christmas period to ensure a traffic-free Anambra and stress-free celebration for the citizens.
For the citizens, it was commendation and praises for the state government for keeping to its promise and ensuring that the welfare of the people was made a priority.
