Ondo Partners IITA To Train 400 Youths In Agri-Business

The Ondo State Government has announced plans to partner with International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, to train over 400 youths in the State in agribusiness ventures such as cassava and maize planting, poultry, fishery and cattle rearing.
The Chairperson of the Ondo State Wealth Creation Agency (WECA), Bolanle Olafunmiloye, stated this at a media briefing on the activities of the agency.
According to Olafunmiloye, the agency got some funds from the Central Bank of Nigeria to finance the businesses and ensure optimum production in international standards.
She added that in a bid to engage the youths extensively, they are being trained by experts in sericulture for silk production, honey processing and production.
Mrs. Olafunmiloye, however, informed that the state government has provided all necessary facilities including accommodation for the youths.
