“We have observed Mr. Siasia for a long time and we are confident that he is the best man for the job. He has run many businesses successfully but above all we are moved by his passion for indigenes of our dear state. We are calling on all Bayelsan and stakeholders within and outside the state to prevail upon him to consider to run for the exalted office of the governor of our state”

The group said it is worried about the poor living condition of Bayelsans and lack of basic social amenities despite the huge sum of internally Generated Revenue and believe that Moses Siasia, who is just 35 years old, will do a great job as governor.

“As Young Professionals, we believe young leaders have the solutions to most of the problems confronting us as a people, a state and nation. Careful analysis of Mr. Siasia the extraordinary entrepreneur who is just 35 years goes a long way to prove our point”
The group argued that the election of young leaders is fast becoming the trend around the world, suggesting that youths are the best options for contemporary leadership and Siasia is stand-out name in this regard.

“All over the world ranging from South Africa’s opposition party electing 33 year old as its first black leader to the recent elections in the United Kingdom which saw a 20 year Old Mhairi Black become the youngest law maker in UK history since the 17th century, and the 2012 Uganda elections where 19-year-old (now 21), Proscovia Alengot Oromait emerged the youngest African ever to be elected as a member of parliament, shows that young people have begun to get more actively involved in the political process of their Nations ”

“As our challenges increase as a people, we must look for new options and the youth are the best option. It is the right time for young Nigerians like Mr. Siasia, to begin to show that they can handle leadership as most of those who are now elders’ statesmen, like Chief Alfred Diete Spiff took the reins of leadership when they were in their 20’s”

NDYP said it believed that Siasia can lead Bayelsa into stability because he has proven his competence in the business world by being a successful entrepreneur from his teenage years.

“As a teenager to be enterprising selling ICE BLOCKS in order to survive and assist his poor widowed mother. He also indulged in manual jobs and over time has gone on to build one of Nigeria’s most successful business enterprises- the MOSILO GROUP”

“We insists that having touched lives through job creation, scholarship and other forms of youth empowerment schemes, there is no doubt he can replicate this achievements in greater dimensions if entrusted with public office as Governor of our state”
