FRSC promotes 1, 026 officers

The Board Chairman of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Felix Chukwu, has approved the promotion of 1, 026 officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps.
The officers, promoted from assistant route commanders to deputy route commanders, were tasked on putting their best by adding value to the system through the projection and proclamation of road safety ideals in their respective areas of responsibility.
Mr. Chukwu said hard work and dedication to duties, critical towards the corps’ corporate goals of attaining the status of a world class organization by 2020, was the basis of the promotion.
“A culmination of our drive to reward excellence and hard work, in line with our corporate goals to attain the status of a world class organization,” he said.
He said the recent promotion followed a rigorous, transparent and fair process.
Mr. Chukwu thanked the minister of defence and the chief of army staff for their support to the corps in the area of capacity building.
He said training and re-training process has remained paramount in the sustained efforts of the FRSC to engender best road culture in the country.
The corps marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi, approving the promotion of 463 other rank personnel, reaffirmed the corps’ commitment to recognising excellence, dedication to duties and promote professionalism in the desire to deliver on its statutory mandate.
He charged the personnel to view their elevation as a call to redouble efforts in discharging respective job functions.
