Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has condemned the attack on guests at his inauguration as the 22nd Governor of the state on Friday in Kaduna.

The former minister of the FCT condemned the unruly behaviour, exhibited by some youths against the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, during the inauguration.

The governor, who spoke through his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, said he looked forward to the peoples support as the new government settled down to work,
El-Rufai noted that a component of change, the maxim of the All Progressives Congress Congress, which won the governorship election in the state in April, was respect for institutions and commitment to lawful and peaceful means to express grievance, discontent or dissent.

“Even in such instances, there can be no justification for any attempt to inflict embarrassment or cause disorder,” el-Rufai said.
The governor, however, commended the people of the state for the massive turnout at the event.

He pledged to do his best to deliver good governance to the good people of the state despite the prevailing economic situation.
