I will run corruption-free Adamawa administration – Ribadu

The Adamawa gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Nuhu Ribadu, has said corruption is an epidemic that has been inimical to the growth and development of the state and the nation at large.
The governorship hopeful promised to use his experience to fight corruption in Adamawa state if voted the next governor of the state.
Mr. Ribadu made the promise at an interactive town hall meeting of Jimeta residents at Lelewal Motel. The event was organised by the Ribadu Awareness Network.
“We will work together to eradicate corruption which is the bane of underdevelopment of the country particularly Adamawa State,” Mr. Ribadu said. “Corruption is the cause of the many problems bedevilling the country including insurgencies.”
He said government’s failure to provide jobs for the youth had forced some youth to be restive. He said he would work assiduously to create jobs for the people.
“Adamawa money is meant for you people, for the development of our state and I can assure you that nobody will steal the money that belongs to you. I will utilize it for the intended purpose.” Mr. Ribadu said.
He assured the physically challenged at the town hall meeting that they are part of the society and whatever gain in the government would be across the board for everyone.
