Abuja - The Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu has dismissed reports that the federal government sacked all the doctors in the federal hospitals, Vanguard reports.
Chukwu stated that the federal government only suspended the residency programme in federal hospitals involving the resident doctors since they have been on strike for over two months.

He added that government’s decision only affects resident doctors in federal hospitals and it is not going to be a permanent thing.
The Nigeria Medical Association had directed its members nationwide to embark on strike on July 1.
