Lagos - The Nigerian Film and Video Censors’ Board (NFVCB) has released a new policy initiative for issuing licenses to films in the country, reportsToday.ng
The new policy gives a two-week maximum timeline for the issuance of licences for movie distribution in the country.
According to a statement released by the apex regulatory body the new policy will speed up movie distribution and screening in the country.
The statement which was signed by the acting head, corporate affairs, Caesar Kagho, said that only films that meet all the requirements for any given category will be licensed.

In July, the board also approved a total of 77 movies for viewing at the local cinemas.
The new policy, which takes effect from October 2014.
