The Portugual international has updated supporters on his current progress by posting a picture of himself in training on Instagram as he bids to return to action for los Blancos. Cristiano Ronaldo has given Real Madrid fans a boost as he closes in on a return to first-team action after recovering from a knee injury picked up in the final of Euro 2016.
The Portugal international has been sidelined since the tournament in France and has missed the first two Liga games of the season for Zinedine Zidane’s men. Ronaldo has also been forced out of Portugal’s squad for the games against Gibraltar and Switzerland but is hopeful of returning to action imminently.
The Real Madrid star has posted an update on Instagram of himself in training at Real Madrid with the caption “Soon” – although no date has yet been placed on his return. Madrid are back in action after the international break when they take on Osasuna at the Bernabeu on September 10 before their opening Champions League clash against one of Ronaldo’s former teams, Sporting, four days later.
