Explosives Kill 14 In Borno State

Channels Tv
At least 14 people have died in an evening attack in Monguno local council of Borno State, north-east Nigeria.
They were killed by explosives that ripped through the local market.
Monguno is one of the towns overrun by Boko Haram early this year and most of its inhabitants now live in Maiduguri.
The attack came at a time when some locals had started returning to their homes.
Barely 24 hours ago, two soldiers and a police were killed by a landmine along Damboa road, about 35 kilometres away from the capital city, Maiduguri.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Boko Haram terrorist group that has carried out similar attacks in the region is the prime suspect.
