The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has slammed a two-match ban on Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi.
The action is coming after the Nigerian midfielder was sent off from the pitch during Saturday’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Chad for retaliation.
The SS Lazio playmaker, who has been a regular in the team’s midfield in the past few years, was shown a straight red card
Onazi committed the foul after the officiating referee, Ibrahim Mamane, awarded a penalty kick against the Super Eagles for a foul on striker Odion Ighalo.
The SS Lazio play-maker would miss the the matches against Tanzania and Egypt consecutively.
