Man crashes through Coast Guard gate in Michigan, says he has a bomb

(CNN)A man crashed through the gates of a Michigan Coast Guard station around 6 a.m. ET on Sunday, assaulted personnel and said he had a bomb in his truck, authorities said.
Michigan State Police bomb technicians are at the scene, CNN affiliate Fox 17 reported, and the incident in Grand Haven is being treated as a "domestic act of terrorism," said Jeff Hawke, the director of Grand Haven Public Safety.
According to a news release, after the man broke through the gates, he went into the station in Grand Haven, which is on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, and assaulted workers. Some subdued him until investigators arrived, and all Coast Guard personnel are safe, the release said.
Residents of a nearby condo complex were told to stay in their homes until further notice.
