EPL: Brown Ideye rescues West Brom from defeat

Nigerian striker, Brown Ideye, finally turned a hero for his English Premier League side, West Brom, as he scored the equalizing goal in Sunday’s Premier League clash against Burnley. The clash ended 2-2.
Ideye, who is West Brom’s most expensive player ever, is widely being adjudged a flop and the Nigerian striker who cost about 10 million pounds months back was nearly sold for half the price in the just concluded transfer window.
However, the former Dynamo Kiev striker showed he could come well if given more time to prove his mettle.
In Sunday’s game, Burnley were two goals up inside 32 minutes through Ashley Barnes and Danny Ings but Chris Brunt pulled one back just before half-time for Albion. It was a first Premier League goal of the season for Brunt, who lost the captain’s armband to deadline-day signing Darren Fletcher.
Thereafter Ideye completed the comeback in the 67th minute when he headed in the equaliser off Brunt’s cross.
While it was a sweet day for Ideye, it was not the same for compatriot and teammate, Victor Anichebe, who had his stay on the pitch short-lived owing to an 18th minute injury.
