Arsenal legend Martin Keown blasted Antonio Rudiger during the defender’s performance in Chelsea‘s 1-0 defeat at home to Manchester City.

The 24-year-old centre-back joined the Premier League champions for an initial fee of £29million from Roma in the summer and has made seven appearances for the Blues since signing on the dotted line.

Rudiger started in this weekend’s defeat to City at Stamford Bridge and Keown believes the Germany internatioanl ‘is not at the level required’ to play for Chelsea.

During the match, Keown said on BT Sport: ‘He doesn’t look, Rudiger, like he’s at the level required here.

‘He looks very nervy in possession.’

Kevin De Bruyne scored the only goal of the game in the 67th minute and Pep Guardiola’s side were able to hold on for the victory
