Ekiti Govt. Launches ‘Operation Flush’ To Combat Crime

The Ekiti state government has launched a joint security Rapid Response Team known as ‘Operation Flush’ to combat crime in the state.
At the launch of the security team, the State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, said the exercise was set up to complement the already existing security structures in the state and to rid the state of kidnapping, armed robbery and other affiliated crimes.
The governor also donated a six patrol vehicle to the team to enhance their operations.
Operation Flush consist of personnel from the military, civil defense, police, DSS and other security agencies saddled with the responsibility of achieving a crime free state.
Governor Fayose added that his administration remains committed to the safety of its citizenry.
Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, Wilson Inalegwu, believes that the launch of the exercise would assist in fostering inter agency cooperation among security agencies.
