The League Management Company (LMC) has lifted the ban placed on the Akure Township Stadium in 2015.
The LMC clamped down heavily on the stadium, owing to the unruly behaviour of fans of Sunshine Stars in last season’s Week 36 fixture against Lobi Stars.
It was reported that fans invaded the pitch and attacked match officials when Lobi Stars were leading by a lone goal in the fierce encounter that saw play halted in the 77th minute.
The incident saw Sunshine Stars barred from their stadium for a year. They played their remaining home games in Lagos.
