Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger, believes Thierry Henry will return to Arsenal, although he is unsure in which capacity.
Wenger believes the Arsenal legend would one day return to the club that made him a house hold name when he leaves the Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States.
The former Arsenal forward and France international enjoyed a better part of his playing carrier in north London where he won the league twice and the FA Cup thrice before leaving the club in 2007 for Barcelona where he also won two Titles – Copa del Ray and Champions league.
“Certainly one day he will come back,” said the Gunners coach. “As for what role, I don’t know. The best moments of his life and his career have been experienced here,” he said.
“He’s an Arsenal man. He has to think do I want to sacrifice all my life to do this job. He has the right to reflect and think what he wants to do now. He has all the qualities.”
If Henry does return to Arsenal, it will be his third spell having had a brief loan stint with the club back in 2010. Some fans would love to see him back in a coaching capacity, whilst some even think he would be an ideal choice to eventually succeed Wenger.
After four years at the New York Red Bulls, it was announced on December 1, 2014 that Henry had left New York Red Bulls.
