El-Rufai picks Kaduna APC chairman as running mate

The All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has chosen Barnabas Bantex as his running mate for the 2015 general elections.

Mr. Bantex is the current chairman of APC in Kaduna State.

Members of the party welcomed the choice of Mr. Bantex and applauded it as one that is timely.

Speaking to PREMIUM TIMES at the party headquarters in the state, a party member, Haruna Sambo, said they all welcome the choice of Mr. Bantex and applauded Mr. El-Rufai for the decision.

“We all welcomed the choice of Bantex. He has shown impeccable qualities as the chairman of the party in the state especially during the just concluded party primaries. We will all work together to make sure APC win in Kaduna State”.

There was jubilation at the party secretariat along Ali Akilu road, Kaduna, after the announcement of Mr. Bantex.

Earlier this week, Mr. El-rufai announced that he would present his running mate to the party.
