Porto midfielder Hector Herrera’s rocket shot from 25 yards has been named the UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week for Matchday Five, presented by Nissan.

The Mexican opened the scoring as his side cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over BATE to ensure they qualify from Group H in first place with a game to spare.

BATE struggled to cope with Porto’s intense pressing, with Casemiro, on loan from Real Madrid, stepping up to win the ball in midfield before laying it off to Herrera.

From there, the 24-year-old needed only one touch to control the ball and set himself before driving a powerful shot across goalkeeper Sergei Chernik from the top corner of the penalty area.

Jackson Martinez and Cristian Tello added further goals to leave Porto with 13 points from 15 going into their final match of the first round against Shakhtar Donetsk.
