The Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam, has approved a review of the curfew earlier imposed on Damaturu, the state capital.
A statement released by the Special Adviser on Press Affairs and Information to the Governor, Abdullahi Bego says the curfew will now begin from 8.00pm to 7.00am daily.
According to the statement, the review of the curfew hours is sequel to consultations that the governor had with heads of law enforcement agencies in the state.
The governor used the opportunity to appreciate the residents of the state capital for their support and cooperation with security agents while encouraging others to continue to remain vigilant to happenings around them and report anything suspicious to the security posts nearest to them.

The curfew was imposed on Damaturu after gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members attempted to take control of the state capital on December 1, an attempt repelled by security forces.
