The rights of migrants and internally displace persons will no longer be taken lightly as the Federal Government has announced plans to fashion out a National Migration Policy.
Addressing a news conference in Abuja, the Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced persons, Mrs Hadiza Kangiwa said the concept of mainstreaming migration into national development planning has been recognized as an efficient policy that will maximize the benefit of migration.
She expressed concerns about the plight of over 700, 000 internally displaced persons in Nigeria due to the activities of insurgents in the north east.
