The Ekiti State 2015 budget will be designed to achieve the objectives of the six cardinal programmes of the Fayose administration.

The State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, dropped this hint while declaring open a one-day finalization meeting with the top officials of all ministries, departments and agencies on Medium Term Expenditure Framework MTEF 2015-2017, held at the Cultural Centre, Ado-Ekiti.
The Governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Modupe Alade, gave an assurance that his campaign promises to provide quality health services, water, electricity, sound education, roads and stomach infrastructure would be adequately catered for by the budget.
Stressing his commitment to the improvement of the standard of living of the people through planned economic transformation, the Governor said that government would have to stop fiscal expansion as well as reduce budget deficit in order to turn around the fortune of the state during the 2015-2017 fiscal years.
He emphasized that only new and critical projects with guaranteed sources of funding would be accommodated in the 2015 budget.
Fayose, however, called on Ekiti indigenes both home and in the Diaspora to support and cooperate with his administration in order to successfully carry out its lofty vision for the state.

The Governor, while speaking on the MTEF document, commended the team that prepared it, describing the document as invaluable.
