Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, has sent a strong message to President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government regarding the security situation in the country, as it relates the incessant kidnapping of family members of Nigeria national team players.
He spoke in reaction to the kidnap and release of the mother of fellow Super Eagles star, Samuel Kalu. In all, six national team players of Nigeria had their family members kidnapped at one time or the other.
They include Mikel Obi, Joseph Yobo, Fegor Ogude, Samson Siasia, Chikelue Iloenyosi and lately Samuel Kalu.
The former captain of the Super Eagles, Joseph Yobo was the first victim among the lot, when his brother Norum was abducted in July 2008.
