Tinubu Vows To Deploy ‘Entire Machinery Of State Power’ To Secure Nigerians

President Bola Tinubu has promised that his administration will deploy the entire machinery of state power to ensure adequate security of the lives and property of the Nigerian people.

Tinubu gave the assurance while delivering a speech at the graduation ceremony of the Senior Course 45 of the Command and Staff College in Jaji, Kaduna State on Friday.

He reiterated the commitment of his administration to adequately equip the Nigerian Armed Forces to enable them to discharge their responsibilities of protecting the lives and property of the citizens both internally and globally.

The President further alerted them to the sensitive nature of the present security environment, which according to him requires new strategies and practices to confront unconventional Forces.

Tinubu noted that contemporary and emerging security threats in the West African subregion demanded that member states must work together to bring peace to the Lake Chad region.

A total of 291 officers who distinguished themselves in character and learning graduated from the 48-week Senior Course 45 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College in the North-Western state. 

The President was accompanied by the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

Also in attendance were all the service chiefs, the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Defence as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps.
