Red Cross to protect health workers in war zones

TVC
The International Committee of the Red Cross is taking measures to protect the lives of healthcare workers in war torn zones.  The body said this to parliamentarians at an ECOWAS meeting.
He asked ECOWAS members to put in place a legal framework for implementation of the International Humanitarian Law. The law seeks sanctions for attacks on healthcare workers and health infrastructure. It also prohibits kidnapping, threats or harassment of health care professionals.
