Police Parade Suspected Kidnappers, Ritualists In Kwara

The Nigeria Police Force has paraded eight suspected kidnappers and ritualists arrested in Kwara State.
Force Public Relations Officer, Mr Jimoh Moshood, who paraded the suspects in Ilorin, the state capital on Wednesday said they would be arraigned in court soon.
He disclosed that the Inspector General of Police had sent a special team of the IGP Monitoring Unit to the state to assist the Kwara Police Command in their investigation of the matter.
Mr Moshood said intelligence gathering from the public led to the search of the home of one of the suspects in the state capital.
“Azeez Yakub a.k.a Baba Muri (Principal Suspect) who is a notorious armed robber and have been arrested, charged to court and convicted to prison severally,” he revealed.
The police spokesman added, “This suspect, now in police custody, has made a confessional statement to the Police investigation Team.
“He confessed and admitted that one Abdulfatai Kadri a.k.a (Adedoyin), the vigilante commander in Adeta Zone, introduced him to the business and also supplies the human skulls and other body parts for him to sell. Eleven (11) human skulls were recovered from his possession during police search on his residence.”
Moshood said the police were still investigating and intensifying efforts to arrest other suspects, including prominent personalities mentioned by the suspects but still at large.
He reiterated that all the suspects would be arraigned in court on completion of the investigation.
