Ulreich sorry for costly error.

Sven Ulreich has apologised for the mistake that cost Bayern Munich in their Bundesliga clash with Wolfsburg.

The champions were held to a 2-2 draw after Maximilian Arnold and Daniel Didavi had cancelled out goals from Robert Lewandowski and Arjen Robben.

With Manuel Neuer still suffering from a broken foot, Ulreich will retain the number one jersey, but said sorry for his part in the first goal conceded on Friday.

After the match, Ulreich said: "I made the wrong decision. The ball fluttered. I wanted to tip it over the crossbar as it looked like the ball would arrive a bit higher.

"Then I did not use my second hand. It was a clear goalkeeper mistake. I'm sorry for the lads and the team."

Thomas Muller though backed his goalkeeper despite the error ahead of an important Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain next week.

He said: "Of course he'll worry about it. But as I know Ulle, he won't play with shaky hands in Paris.

"The team supports him. And if you see him in training, nobody has to be worried."

Matts Hummels added: "I've played against him since I was 12 years old. Everyone makes mistakes.

"Sven played superb at Schalke, as well before this season. It's annoying but that happens."
